4:45pm Update: Another 3″ here today, and still snowing! Great to see so many passholders and guests venture out to enjoy an amazing snow day here at The Range. Forecasts for tonight predict additional snowfall with accumulations in the 1″-3″ range and for Sunday we are looking at cloudy skies with snow projections between 3″-5″ and high temps in the single digits. Grab the crew and an extra layer, and we will see you on the mountain for a serious Sunday Funday at Snowy!
5:00am Update: Happy Powder Day! Another 2″ overnight added to the 7″ yesterday, brings our recent storm total since late-Wednesday to over a FOOT. Forecasts today predict snow this morning will transition to snow showers this afternoon with a high around 18 and additional accumulations in the 1″-3″ range. Most projections are potentially another 1″-3″ tonight, 3″-5″ on Sunday and 1″-3″ Sunday night into Monday….the powder days are here, so grab your crew, the gear and an extra layer to enjoy The Range. We are in an absolutely awesome stretch of winter, and snow conditions are amazing…we will be grooming a few of the beginner and intermediate runs here this morning, but you can certainly expect much untouched powder throughout the entire mountain.
Currently, there are some road limitations/closures over on I-80 coming out of Cheyenne, but there are alternative routes and the majority of roads in and around the region are open. Please check your travel routes before heading out this morning. Take it easy and be safe out there on the travels today. The ski area is officially 100% open with all slopes and terrain parks available. Please remember to SMART STYLE all activities in the parks and utilize YOUR RESPONSIBILITY CODE throughout the slopes. ADVANCED, ON-LINE TICKET & RENTAL EQUIPMENT RESERVATIONS – Please note as we look forward to additional upcoming weekends, we do anticipate many guests visiting the mountain and many of those guests will be renting equipment. For those needing ski or snowboard rental equipment, please make certain to make those online rental equipment reservations as quickly as possible to ensure you have equipment reserved for your snow day. Due to heavy volumes, we cannot guarantee to have your exact or desired size of boots, skis or boards without a reservation. If you do not have a rental reservation here at the ski area, please plan to arrive as early as possible in the day to obtain rental gear.
