5:00am Update: Happy Valentine’s Tuesday! Expect a mix of clouds and sun here on the mountain today with breezy conditions and flurries or snow showers possible throughout the day. Most projections show the high today here this morning of around 20, and then temps falling back into the mid/lower teens throughout the afternoon. Snow chances increase tonight with potentially 2″-4″ by Wednesday afternoon. The significant cold air definitely appears to settle in here for a few days, and then a bit more moderate temps for the upcoming holiday weekend. Grab that extra layer, the crew and we’ll see you here on the mountain as the good times continue at The Range.
The ski area is officially 100% open with all slopes and terrain parks available. There may be a few areas and/or slopes which will be unavailable here today as we do some slope preparation efforts throughout the ski area. There will be plenty of options, so thanks for the understandings and enjoy the slopes. Please remember to SMART STYLE all activities in the parks and utilize YOUR RESPONSIBILITY CODE throughout the slopes. Please note that RESPECT GETS RESPECT here at The Range, and those expectations of conduct apply to all guests at all times. Please visit the Trails Report page for a list of our available lifts and terrain as well as daily grooming updates. All roads around the region and into the ski area are open. For updates on road conditions, please visit the WYDOT website, or call 1-888-996-7623.
Thank you for the many compliments and positive comments on your experiences here at The Range. We always appreciate hearing from our guests, so please feel free to drop us a message or stop by our information office to pass along your experiences here on the mountain. We also want to thank our staff members for their excellent efforts and commitments to the ski area – certainly appreciate your dedication, passion and hard work to make it happen each and every snow day.
Looking ahead here, as stated above, colder air moves back in today through Thursday, and very hopeful some snowflakes come along as well. Temps are expected to moderate as we get closer to the holiday weekend, and chances of snow return by Sunday and through mid next week – this system looks capable of bringing in some solid, double-digit accumulations, so stay tuned and keep doing those snow dances. Make plans NOW, and get those upcoming weekend & spring break reservations booked. Rally the crew, and we hope to see you on the slopes soon!
ADVANCED, ON-LINE TICKET & RENTAL EQUIPMENT RESERVATIONS – Please note as we look forward to additional upcoming weekends, we do anticipate many guests visiting the mountain and many of those guests will be renting equipment. For those needing ski or snowboard rental equipment, please make certain to make those online rental equipment reservations as quickly as possible to ensure you have equipment reserved for your snow day. Due to heavy volumes, we cannot guarantee to have your exact or desired size of boots, skis or boards without a reservation. If you do not have a rental reservation here at the ski area, please plan to arrive as early as possible in the day to obtain rental gear. Again — Advanced, On-Line Rental & Ticket Reservations are Always Highly Encouraged & Recommended, and thank you for your understanding on this matter.
