Snow Report – Wednesday, December 28, 2022

Happy Holiday Wednesday!

Waking up to 2″ of fresh snow here at 4:30am, and still have some flakes falling here this morning! It’s going to be a solid snow day here on the mountain, so give you & yours a little extra time here this morning for the travels and be safe out there. Forecasts today show breezy conditions this morning with additional snow chances and temperatures falling back to around 20 by this afternoon.

Yesterday was definitely one of those wild, windy Wyoming days here at 9000’…safety is always the number one priority here at Snowy, and under those sustained winds and intense gusts, we simply had to suspend operations on both our Sundance & Chute chairlifts. We anticipate all lifts to be in operation here today, and we appreciate the understanding from our many passholders and guests as well as the solid efforts by our maintenance, ski patrol and operational teams during all of yesterday’s activities.

It has been a very White Christmas here on the mountain, as we have been blessed with 4″ over the past 72 hours and over a FOOT here in the past week….plus, additional chances of snow are in the forecast much of this week with potentially a significant system with MANY inches of snow lining up Friday through Monday to properly bring in the new year––stay tuned and we’ll update as all unfolds.

The ski area is over 90% open, and we anticipate our remaining trails to open following a bit more snowfall. Our main terrain park is officially open….please remember to SMART STYLE all activities in the parks and utilize YOUR RESPONSIBILITY CODE throughout the slopes. All is shaping up for a wonderful holiday season here at Snowy Range, so grab the crew and make those online reservations now for some good times on the mountain.

Please visit the Trails Report page for a list of our available terrain.

Thank you all for your continued patronage and support of Snowy Range Ski Area.
