No experience is necessary. Must be willing to work in changing weather conditions. Tasks may be physically demanding and require snowmobile use.
Applicant Strengths: Has good communication skills, an extensive background in ski racing, on hill course knowledge, understanding of racing rules and regulations, the ability to travel with athlete’s to other mountains, a good attitude and understanding of what young athlete’s need throughout the season. A willingness to grow the sport at Snowy Range Ski Area.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Oversee all kitchen, restaurant and custodial operations.
- Daily activities will focus on motivating your team, controlling food & labor costs while maintaining high product standards along with proper cleanliness and sanitation throughout the kitchen and lodge areas.
- Provide required training for all departmental staff members.
- Schedule labor as required by anticipated business activity while ensuring that all positions are properly staffed as needed while controlling effective labor costs.
- Provide leadership to all staff members for excellent customer service and quality
- Schedule kitchen, restaurant and custodial staff for proper coverages.
- Perform pre-season and in-season training for quality assurance and excellent guest service from all staff members
- Coordinate weekly food and beverage orders and deliveries with various vendors.
- Manages par levels, inventory and appropriate food storage methods
- Consistently monitor food quality and portion control.
- Ensures all equipment and kitchen area is kept clean and in excellent work condition through personal inspection and efforts.
- Maintain necessary sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen, restaurant and lodge areas
- In charge of daily records of business transactions, including but not limited to, daily sales, accounts receivable, bad checks and charges, over/under reports, and the recording and deposit of daily receipts.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with the Mountain Sports School and the Ticket Office for events, groups and pre-planned lesson meals
- Perform other duties and provide support to all departments and the overall operations at SRSA to ensure guest experiences and expectations are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily rental operations and staff scheduling.
- Manage inventory of ski and snowboard equipment, ensuring all gear is well-maintained and available.
- Provide excellent customer service, assisting guests with equipment selection and rentals.
- Train and support rental staff on procedures and safety protocols.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues that arise.
- Maintain accurate records of rentals, returns, and inventory levels.
- Collaborate with other departments to promote special events and services.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for working with a seasoned mountain sports instructor core to provide excellent guest service and snow sports instruction to guests of all ages and ability levels.
- Responsible for all facets of training, safety and supervision of staff as well as implementation and oversight of departmental policies and procedures.
- Scheduling daily lessons and assigning instructors to classes
- Monitoring lesson quality and guest satisfaction
- Handling problematic situations and complaints, and determining methods to improve lesson experiences and overall organization of the processes.
- Coordinating monthly training and safety meetings, and working to establish risk management initiatives to reduce on-hill incidents within the instructor core.
- Coordinating lessons and groups with the ticket office
- Working with kitchen staff for daily meal needs for full day lessons
- Administrative duties pertaining to on-boarding, payroll functions, and many facets of documentation
- In charge of daily records of business transactions, including but not limited to, daily sales, accounts receivable, bad checks and charges, over/under reports, complimentary tickets, and the recording and deposit of daily receipts.
- Must be a team player, committed to the goal of exceeding guest expectations.
- Perform other duties and provide support to all departments and the overall operations at SRSA to ensure guest experiences and expectations are met.
Duties include but are not limited to mopping, sweeping, stocking, and cleaning bathrooms, taking out the trash, maintaining the overall cleanliness of the upstairs and downstairs lodge.
